To date 166 show ring championships have been awarded to Afghan Hounds bred by Calahorra, plus two C.Ds and a F.Ch. We have so far exported to 24 countries.

In keeping with our commitment to blend the world's greatest bloodlines in order to breed what we believe to be the epitome of the Afghan Hound standard, we are proud to announce that

Rowena is a grandaughter of Eng Ir Ch Saringa's Abra Cadabra, through our historic frozen semen litter born in 1976). Bjorn himself was a "one only puppy". He has to date sired three champions, including a Best in Show and a Runner Up BIS winner.

BIG/multi RUBIG Ch Calahorra Come Fly With Me, (blue) (Ch Calahorra Wherlwind (sire of at least five champions) ex Calahorra Flight One, (dam of 6 champions). Flight One is out of Fledgling and is by Eng Aust Ch Sharazah Night Gambler, sire of 13 champions including the second Afghan Hound to go BIS at Crufts, Eng Ch Viscount Grant. Ariel has two champion littermates to date, one being an American Champion, and another needing only a few points to finish under the American system, while the only other member of that litter has taken a BIS (Open) in England, and has his stud book number for Crufts.

We consider Ariel's genetic material and unrivalled type and quality so important that we decided to interrupt her show career. By mating her to Bjorn, we bring together once more the merging of the bloodlines of Dutchy with those of our Chandhara's Emir of Gray Dawn which proved so successful in the 70's.

We also have available two superb black and one black masked gold puppies born 30/11/96, a dog and two bitches respectively. These are by Calahorra Simply Thebest (Ch Calahorra Wherlwind, sire of five significant champions, ex Kaskarak Best of British (imp UK) daughter of the first Afghan Hound to win BIS at Crufts, Eng Ch Montravia Kaskarak Hitari) out of Ch Calahorra Supremacy (Ch Calahorra Triumph ex Ch Calahorra Kestrel, daughter of our Ch American Eagle at Calahorra (imp USA), sire of 11 champions, to whom the litter is linebred).
